Volcom Girls Spring Streetwear 2010
With a mix of grunge and Easter-like pastels, Volcom’s Spring 2010 collection looks a little… hard to wear. While I am usually a huge fan of Volcom streetwear, this season seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. Where are the classic iconic Stone styles and the fashion forward pieces? Is Volcom losing their edge? I feel like this collection borders on looking a bit trashy, sorry.
In their defense, here is how Volcom describes their 2010 girl’s streetwear collection:
For Spring 2010, the Volcom Girls’ collection embraces contradiction by creating looks that hit just the right balance between tough and chic. The collection transitions into spring with a dynamic mix of warm pops of color and cool pastels, mixing in laid-back plaids, easy day dresses, and effortless jumpers with attention to novelty detailing.
Volcom Spring 2010 features a look that is upbeat and punk. It’s the merging together of a rocker-type aesthetic with a feminine beachy vibe. Look forward to Volcom Girls bringing together the unexpected and capturing the rebellious identity of the Volcom Girl.
