If I’ve seemed like an absent blogger lately it’s because I’ve been working on a little side project with one of my all-time favorite snowboard shops. A few months ago, I sent an email out to SnoCon co- owner, Adam Gerken, inquiring about an affiliate program for their website www.snowboardconnection.com.  I had just got Lady In Shred up and running and wanted to advertise for their shop. Sort of on a whim I wrote, “If you don’t have an affiliate marketing program, you should hire me to get one set up and manage it for you.”

Today we are launching the SnoCon Affiliate Program on AvantLink’s network. To all my fellow shredding bloggers, this is a great opportunity to support a legendary shop and turn your content into a little bit of cash.

I asked John Logic (original owner) to write me a little bit about the history of SnoCon. Here’s what he had to say:

We opened in October 1990 in a 1,000 sq. ft. space. that first year we sold Kemper, Heavy Tools, MBoo, Avalanche, Look, Powderstick, Storm and Gnu. the only one we still carry is Gnu. May God Bless and Protect Mike Olsen and Pete Saari.

We are entering our 20th year, and we’ve been able to survive by a combination of a great staff and the widest selection. In the Land of Nordstrom, you have to have excellent customer service. And in the Valley of Costco, you have to have the Product and the Price. Seattle is home to many international companyies, along with Nordstroms and Costco, there’s Microsoft and Boeing. and Starbucks and Amazon. and SnoCon!

Being based in Seattle has been a lot of fun, and kept us close to the action. K2, Ride, Lib Tech, Gnu, capita, Union, Coal, Spacecraft – they are all based in Seattle. Add the close proximity of Mt. Baker, (one of the birthplaces of snowboarding) Mt. Rainier, and Whistler/Blackcomb, and the year-round snowboarding at Mt. Hood in Oregon, and we can snowboard year-round in all kinds of conditions.

On the rider tip, we have everyone from Craig Kelly, Dan Donnelly, & Matt Goodwill to Jamie Lynn, Peter Line, & Mark Landvik coming out of Washington. And Western Washington has no snowmaking, so consequently the riding here is less parks and more all-mountian.

Rock Stars? well, we don’t kiss and tell. and we’re not groupies. not most of us.

Snowboard Connection is proud of our snow team. Our new movie , “As Green as it Gets” has won awards on reelcomp.com.

Our SnoCon skate team is young, healthy and placing in everything they enter.

Our goal, from the beginning, is to get you outside, having fun, on quality gear at a price you can afford.

20 years strong! What a great support SnoCon has been to snowboarding in the Northwest. They have the Seattle area on lock down with their 3 brick and mortar locations. I’m honored to help them grow their online business with the new Snocon Affiliate Program. Sign Up Now!
