To be honest, I started researching this post extremely skeptical of Roxy’s new Athletix line. The Athletix line is built for the Roxy girl who needs more technical apparel for yoga, training, running, etc. Thinking that this was just going to be a new way to market their pink hoodies, I was surprised to learn about the qualified technical designers creating the line and the athletic inspired functionality of the pieces.
The Transworld Business interview of Roxy Athletix Lead Designer, Holly Dorrell, shows us what Athletix has in store for Spring 2010.
“Eye-catching, bright, fun, inspiring and motivating” are just a few words Holly uses to describe the style of the new Athletix line. Feedback from team riders like Torah Bright and Sarah Burke ensures that the Athletix line is full of functional features like reflective trims, antimicrobial and wicking properties, bonded hems, media pockets and more.
Holly wants the Athletix customer “to live comfortable in ROXY Athletix twenty-four hours any day of the week.
