K2 Eco Pop Snowboard 2011 Review

Remember the K2 Duchess? It was the Eco Pop’s predecessor and one of my favorite boards of all time. I actually still have the 07/08 model in my garage. It’s just one of those boards I’ll never sell because I loved riding it so much. The good news is that the 2011 K2 Eco Pop rides pretty dang similar.
Pros:
This year’s Eco Pop has some awesome construction upgrades. It went from a Flat rocker line to a Reverse camber line. This makes the board a little easier to ride and gives it an all-over softer feeling flex. I was stoked on the new Eco Pop because it was easier to ollie, but still rode solid and fast.
Cons:
The updated rocker line causes the board to lose a little bit of it’s responsiveness. But I think it’s worth it because it makes the Eco Pop a little more forgiving and gives it a great all-mountain feel.
Buy this board…
… if you are looking for a fairly stiff, all-mountain snowboard that has a little reverse camber for easy pow floatation, shreds groomers at high-speeds and still rides super fun in the park/pipe.
