Snowboarder Magazine’s Ms. Superpark® 6 presented by Gatorade Comes to a Close

San Clemente, CA (April 6, 2010) –SNOWBOARDER Magazine’s Ms. Superpark® 6 presented by Gatorade came to a close last Friday after four long days on the hill at Snow Summit in Big Bear, California. With less than perfect weather conditions throughout the week these women were unstoppable on the custom-made terrain park crafted by Snow Summit’s own park staff. Snow Summit has long been recognized for its progressive park features and the crew left little to be desired with two pristine hips, a channel gap, a step down jump, quarterpipe, wall ride and a downrail where a family ski zone once stood.

Year One – Lady In Shred – Thank-you!

Posted in Blog, Events on March 7th, 2010 by courtney – Be the first to comment

mt.hood-meadowsMarch marks the one year anniversary of Lady In Shred.  Don’t worry, I’ll be celebrating later this month in Sun Valley with some of my favorite gals, furry boots, and Bogner one-pieces.  What started out as a way for me to practice my copywriting and web skills has turned into one of my favorite connections to the snowboard industry.

I’d like to say thanks to my ex-co-workers (Spencer and Brad) who were the only ones reading this blog at the beginning.  Being a skier and a skateboarder, I’m sure they were always riveted by my content.  I’d also like to show appreciation to my fellow bloggers, the random people who are out there doing the same thing as me and putting it in their own words.  Thanks to Angry Snowboarder, Shayboarder, and the rest of my Bro Down blog roll for all the referrals.  Big ups to all my lady friends who serve as my inspiration and always give great ideas for posts and keep snowboarding fun.  But most importantly… thanks to all my readers! Year One for Lady In Shred could never have been successful without you guys!

I want to keep making this as enjoyable for you as it is for me.  What do you guys want to see for the next year from Lady In Shred?

Single? Ride the Chairway to Heaven to Meet your Mate

Posted in Events on February 13th, 2010 by courtney – Be the first to comment

Chairway 2 HeavenIf you don’t want to spend Valentine’s Day lounging in pajamas, eating nothing but chocolate and watching Hugh Grant movies, head on over to Mt. Hood Meadows to take part in some speed dating.   Nothing says romance like an awkward lift ride with a stranger, followed by a steep off ramp that should disclaim “stomp pad required”.  But hey, you never know.  Mr. Right just might be waiting in the singles line at the Blue Chair.
